"End of the World" Playful-Satirical Garden Party

This event is organized by Thrutopia Club Zürich.

To celebrate the Thrutopia Club's 1-year anniversary! 🎂🥳, we will creatively, joyfully and with ceremonial satire "release" those parts of the (old) world that we definitely don't want to take with us into the future.

While some billionaires seem to have an egotistical need to celebrate the crumbling of life on Earth with large space rockets (like a firework display 🚀), we'll show you that we need surprisingly little to playfully kick down extractive capitalism, patriarchy, fascism and anything else you want to end! And to then collectively build a better future 🫶🏻 using the same building blocks.

Also expect:

• Potluck lunch/dinner 🍽️ 

• Party games for adults 🎶 

• Prizes for the best "end-of-the-world" outfit! 🏆 

• Ephemeral shrines to the "old (capitalist) world" and "new (regenerative) world" 🐚📻

• Lovely people and deep conversations as always 🥹

Things to bring with you (if inspired - no obligation):

🎳 'Jenga' sets, bowling pins or any other similar games (e.g., 'Cuboro' marble runs)

👉🏻 Small items symbolising the "fossil economy" and your aspired future (for the 2 shrines)

🎩 Optional dress code: Thrutopia/dystopia (from steampunk, cyberpunk, solarpunk to Mad Max... your personal take! 😉)
