More about this event

Swiss companies are required to disclose climate-related information in their annual reports starting in 2025. This new requirement is based on the recommendations of the Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD).

A recent study by Enfinit found that many Swiss companies are not yet aligned with the TCFD recommendations. The study assessed the climate reporting of 40 non-financial publicly listed companies on the Swiss SIX stock exchange for the fiscal year 2022.

The study found that the following areas of climate reporting need the most improvement:

  • Strategy: Companies need to better disclose how climate-related risks and opportunities impact their strategy.
  • Metrics and targets: Companies need to disclose more metrics and targets related to climate-related risks and opportunities, especially those that are financially material.
  • Physical and transition risks: Companies need to pay more attention to physical and transition risks, and disclose how they are managing these.
  • As expected, companies with higher revenues are generally better aligned with the TCFD recommendations. However, even the largest companies do not fully comply with the TCFD recommendations.

We will feature a panel of experts who will discuss the following topics:

  • The new climate reporting requirement in Switzerland
  • How to align your company’s climate reporting with the TCFD recommendations
  • Case studies and best practices for climate reporting
