Gabriel Zucman is a renowned economist and Professor of Economics at the Paris School of Economics and École normale supérieure  PSL. He is also a Summer Research Professor at the University of California, Berkeley, and the founding director of the International Tax Observatory. His research focuses on global wealth inequality, tax evasion, tax havens, and the taxation of multinational corporations and high-net-worth individuals. Zucman has developed innovative methods to measure wealth held in tax havens and to assess the impact of international tax policies on economic inequality. In recognition of his contributions to economics, he was awarded several prestigious honors, including the John Bates Clark Medal in 2023.
